SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service govern your enrollment in and use of the text messaging programs operated by The Overwatch Project (“Overwatch Project,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an initiative of FORGE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. By opting in, you agree to these terms.

Programs and message types

We operate two separate text messaging programs, and you opt in to each one individually. Informational (Plan Kit) messages are program and transactional texts tied to your Plan Kit, including notifications, confirmations, and claim or follow-up reminders. Promotional messages are marketing and engagement texts, such as event invitations, training opportunities, campaigns, and calls to action. You receive only the type(s) of messages you have specifically opted in to receive, and opting in to one program does not enroll you in the other.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your interaction with our programs.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply to all messages you send and receive. The Overwatch Project does not charge for the messages, but your carrier may.

How to opt out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send any further texts unless you opt in again.

Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your information is handled in accordance with our SMS Privacy Policy.

We may update these SMS Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent changes.
